Public Art

Over the years I have been a part of several different large-scale mural and installation projects, working with local non-profits ArtWorks Cincinnati and Black Art Speaks.

My main responsibilities included design translation, acrylic painting, problem solving, delegating tasks to the teams, acting as a project representative, participating in press interviews, talking to investors, etc.

I’m always open to mural projects, so reach out if you think we’d be a good fit working together!

BLACK LIVES MATTER MURAL

This mural, painted directly on the street and spanning an entire city block, stands as a powerful and visible symbol of the community’s commitment to justice and equality. Originally created in 2020, it was ignited by the social unrest across the country and served as a statement of support for the Black Lives Matter movement and a call for change in Cincinnati.

In 2022, we revisited the mural to give it some much-needed touch-ups, ensuring it remained vibrant and impactful. Then, in 2024, we completely reimagined the design as part of Blink Cincinnati, a celebrated light and arts festival that transforms the city every few years.

Tamia Saunders, a longtime collaborator and board member of Black Art Speaks, brought me on as her assistant to help bring her vision for the letter K design to life each year. From the mural’s initial creation to its redesigns, this project has been a testament to the power of art to inspire and unite a community.

IT’S YOUR THING MURAL

As a part of the Cincinnati Legends Series, this mural pays homage to the local soul-funk music group, The Isley Brothers.

The bold typographic design expresses the voice of the neighborhood. Community engagement was a large part of this project, in an effort to give citizens an avenue for connecting with each other and cultivating a strong solidarity for their neighborhood.

DREAMING BLUES MURAL

As an accompaniment to the It's Your Thing mural, this addition to the Cincinnati Legends Series showcases the beauty of miss Mamie Smith. She was a vaudeville singer, actress, dancer, & actress who recorded the first African-American blues vocals in 1920.

BOYS HOPE GIRLS HOPE LENTICULAR MURAL

This vibrant lenticular mural beautifully highlights two cherished Cincinnati icons: the iconic B.B. Riverboats and the inspiring organization Boys Hope Girls Hope. The non-profit is dedicated to breaking the relentless cycle of poverty by preparing youth for educational achievement and long-term success in their lives.

TO OAKLEY WITH LOVE MURAL

This mural spanning the entire entrance wall of a newly built Kroger in the city. The bold addition was a gift to the neighborhood of Oakley, an area overflowing with small businesses, creatives, and a friendly community.

PROST to CINCINNATI INSTALLATION

This installation adds to a series paying homage to the city’s rich German heritage and thriving brewery industry that is alive throughout Over-The-Rhine, and many parts of the city. This piece utilizes classic brewery motifs featuring recycled bourbon barrels & painted hops leaves.
