Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely! You're welcome to bring a friend along, although space in the studio is limited. So if there is more than one guest, they may have to wait in the lobby while you're getting your tattoo!
-
Sure thing! Both of you will need to fill out my booking form and just mention it in the notes. You'll need to find a date on my calendar that has multiple time slots available, and schedule them back to back.
Example: Person #1 books at 3pm, Person #2 books at 5pm. -
Please select based on your idea and budget. If I can't reasonably finish your tattoo idea within the appointment type that you requested, don't worry! In that case, I'll send you an email prior asking if you're comfortable changing the appointment duration/price. We can then reschedule or book a second session if need be.
-
Please send any questions about booking to liv@cassinelli.design or click here. I DO NOT recommend sending me DM on Instagram about tattoos.
-
Yes, I am open to cover-up and rework pieces! The possibilities depend on the tattoo, but I'm happy to work with you to find something you'll love. I recommend booking at least a full day session for this.
-
The lowest possible price for a tattoo is my minimum session ($150). This is priced to cover the cost of the supplies, business expenses, single-use disposables, and of course my time. This is non-negotiable.
Possible Exception: Friday the 13th or flash events -

Maybe! I'm interested in many different styles and I like a challenge. Just because you haven't seen exactly what you'd like on my page, doesn't mean I won't be psyched about your idea!
If I'm not comfortable accommodating your request for any reason, you will be contacted via email and your deposit will be refunded. I'll also give you some recommendations on local artists that I think may be better suited for that particular piece. -
I offer Recovery Derm-Shield / second skin free of charge. If you or your body prefers it, alternatively I can send you home in some good ol' fashioned plastic wrap instead.
-
That’s okay! Please fill out the forms using the name and pronouns you identify with, I’ll just need to scan your ID on the back of your consent form. My tattoo chair is always a queer and trans safe space. No need to feel pressure disclosing anything you’re uncomfortable with.
-
I'm always willing to tattoo color on any skin tone! While pigments can appear under healed skin very differently, I'm more than happy to do a color-swatch dot test If you'd like to see how your skin heals before committing to a full color piece.
-
Unfortunately, no. You must be at least 18+ on the day of your appointment. But please keep me in mind! I’ll be more than happy to tattoo you in the future.
-
No! Please abstain from alcohol for at least 24 hours leading up to your appointment. Alcohol thins your blood, leaves your body dehydrated, and the effects of a hangover can make the tattoo process a lot more uncomfortable!
-
In my years of experiences as both a tattooer and a client, I’ve found that establishing a set rate allows the client to better understand and prepare for how much they are about to spend.
It eliminates some anxiety and guess-work, making it much easier for my clients to stay in their budget. Also, I hate math!
-
I offer touch ups for free on all tattoos originally done by me, to keep my work looking good for as long as possible. It’s super important to me that my clients are happy with the art I’ve put on their bodies, it’s for forever after all!
-
Yes, of course! I use single-use disposables and follow universal precautions with every client to keep the space clean and safe for everyone, including myself. Part of my training as a tattooer is an anual Bloodborne Pathogen Certification.
Additionally HIV can only live outside of the human body for mere minutes, having a low survival rate and low transmission efficiency, making it extremely difficult to transmit without directly exchanging body fluids. In fact, according to the CDC, there are no known cases of HIV transmission from tattoos, although it is theoretically possible. Don’t let any harmful myths about AIDS/HIV discourage you from getting the tattoo you want! <3

It’s really easy! You can reschedule by clicking the link provided in your confirmation email. No explanation and no stress required! — as an anxious bug myself, I get it!
